Dear West Elementary Families,
We have made it to October! The mornings are becoming a little more crisp, and the afternoons are finally more tolerable. October is proof in my mind that change happens slowly, and then suddenly, it’s a beautiful result. I would like to think of learning in the same way! We all grow at different speeds, but all growth is beautiful. Be proud of your children as they grow, overcome new challenges, and learn daily! We are proud of them!
As we have settled into the year, I encourage you to stay connected with us! Parent conferences are a wonderful time to learn a little bit more about how your child is as a student. We would love to see all West Elementary families at conferences! In addition to conferences, come volunteer in our classrooms, check out our social media, and ensure you’re reading newsletters from your classroom teacher(s). We value your partnership!
October through December tends to go by in the blink of an eye. Buckle up! We are thrilled to partner with our amazing PTO in their annual fall fundraiser. This greatly benefits our students, teachers, and future families. Our school would not be as incredible without the support of our PTO and the entire West Community. We appreciate your support!
There is no doubt in my mind that the season of sickness is also quickly approaching. We know that children get sick and will need to miss school occasionally. We also appreciate when you keep them home when they need to be! With that said, we want them at school more days than not! Attendance is very important to us, so please do your best to have them at school every day so that they are well. We have learning to do!
As always, please reach out to classroom teachers, counselors, or administrators if we can be of any assistance to you or your family. We are here to help in any way we can!
Wishing you well,
Libby McNamara
