Dear West Elementary Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits as we approach the festive winter season. We greatly appreciate our parents and guardians' active involvement and support, especially during special events like winter parties. However, I kindly request your cooperation and understanding regarding a specific aspect of these gatherings.
In the spirit of maintaining a conducive learning environment and ensuring the safety of all students, we ask that parents refrain from checking out siblings from different grade levels immediately after the winter parties. While we understand the desire to leave as a family unit, this practice places an additional burden on our school office and teachers.
We place a high value on regular attendance, and the process of checking out siblings from various grade levels disrupts the flow of activities, causing unnecessary stress on our administrative team and the teachers involved. This, in turn, affects the overall experience for all students and can lead to disruptions in the classroom.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. We strive to create a supportive and collaborative school community, and your adherence to these guidelines will contribute to the overall success of our winter celebrations.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our school and for being valuable partners in your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Wishing you and your family a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Libby McNamara
