West Elementary Families,
We are excited to start the school year on Tuesday! Your teachers and staff have been busy with professional development and preparing for a fantastic school year ahead. We loved meeting so many of you last week at Meet the Teacher.
A few commonly asked questions or things to know:
School starts at 7:50 a.m., and our doors open at 7:30 a.m. Please plan accordingly. Do not park in the car loop or block traffic.
If dropping off in the car line, stay IN your car. Students should exit on the DRIVER side.
If you are walking your child in, you must use the crosswalk. We need to keep traffic flowing.
Send your child with a water bottle and snack (if they want).
Make sure the teacher knows how your child is going home.
If you or your child are nervous, please know this is normal. Our staff is prepared to help calm those jitters.
It is very important that adults model bravery. Don't linger too long if your little one is struggling; we can help!
PK students dismiss at 1:55.
Elementary students dismiss at 2:55. Do NOT enter the car loop until 2:30. Our PK students take longer to dismiss.
As with arrival, adults need to stay IN the car. Your transportation tag must be visible the entire time.
Do not change lanes once you enter the car loop.
