Dear West Elementary Families,
I am thrilled to introduce Jason Turner as our new Physical Education teacher for 1st-3rd grades. Mr. Turner brings a wealth of experience engaging and motivating students to enjoy healthy, active lifestyles. Jason has been in education for 20 years, and 17 of those years have been teaching PE in Edmond.
With a passion for fitness and teamwork, Mr. Turner is dedicated to creating a fun, collaborative, and safe environment for every student. Whether through games, activities, or fitness challenges, Jason is eager to make PE a highlight of the week and inspire students to build healthy habits.
We’re excited to have Mr. Turner as part of our school community and can’t wait for our students to benefit from this new addition. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Turner to the West Elementary family! He will begin his new role at WE on Monday, November 4th.
Of course, an update about our PE program would only be complete with a sincere message of gratitude to Mrs. Miki Bray. We send Mrs. Bray to Colorado with nothing but love and immense appreciation for all she has done for so many students. Mrs. Bray built the PE program at West from the ground up. Her legacy and vision for the program will last forever. She has impacted countless lives and is a treasured piece of our family. We wish the entire Bray family a safe and smooth transition to their new beginning in Colorado. Visit us soon!
Parents, if you have any questions about this transition, please contact me at lmcnamara@bixbyps.org.
Wishing you well,
Libby McNamara
