Dear 7th & 8th Grade BPS Families,
We are delighted to introduce SpartanU, a district-wide initiative aimed at supporting families as we navigate their secondary education journey together. SpartanU is not just a program; it's a commitment designed to be the compass that helps your student navigate grades 9-12 and beyond.
We are offering a special opportunity for all 7th and 8th-grade families to participate in small group sessions during our upcoming parent conference night, 10/9, with our BPS counseling team in an effort to frontload families with helpful information ahead of the spring enrollment process.
Recently, graduation requirements have changed, and the middle school years are the perfect time to become more informed and begin planning your child’s high school pathway. This event provides a convenient opportunity for families to schedule a conference with teachers as needed and catch this SpartanU session, which will provide the following information:
Coursework & Programming Options: Our counseling team will walk you through the diverse range of coursework and programming options available at BHS. From core subjects to extracurricular activities, as well as requirements for different “tracks” (honors, AP, workforce, college-prep, NCAA, etc).
Personalized Guidance & Informed Choices: SpartanU is all about equipping families with knowledge and resources. These sessions will cover all graduation pathways, empowering families with the information needed to make the best possible choices for their student's academic journey.
