We’re excited to announce an important update to our parent-teacher conference schedule. To better support families during the enrollment and academic planning season, we have repurposed one of our spring conference nights and moved it from March to February. These newly scheduled evenings will now focus on secondary schools, combining parent-teacher conferences with enrollment and academic advisement events.

Attended SpartanU events in the past? They aren't all the same! SpartanU is our parent engagement program that provides support for families from the time their student becomes a 7th grader to the moment they walk the stage at graduation. Everything from navigating life as a new middle schooler to applying and paying for college.

In the Fall, SpartanU sessions are focused on student success and information parents need for the CURRENT school year. The upcoming sessions this February are focused on enrollment and all things graduation requirements/course requests for the UPCOMING school year.

This Academic Advisement Night will be especially important for current eighth-grade families, as the Class of 2030 will be the first to complete high school under the new Pathways graduation requirements. Sessions will explain the updated graduation requirements in detail, including how students will select their pathway through the ICAP process and how counselors will work closely with each student to ensure their 9th grade course selections align with their chosen pathway.

We strongly encourage all 8th grade families to attend to ensure they are fully informed and prepared for the transition to high school.
