February Newsletter 2026

January was an exceptional month! Our 5th-graders participated in an immersive field trip to JA BizTown. This experience allowed students to apply real-life concepts to real-world scenarios, including work readiness, balancing bank statements and managing their finances, and career exploration. It was a pleasure to observe their collaboration and dedication to their respective roles. Thank you to our 5th-grade teachers and parent volunteers for their essential roles in making this experience a memorable success.

Additionally, we were proud to welcome Miss Charleston Scheer to the administrative team as our "Principal of the Day." Charleston earned this honor as the top fundraiser for our Color Run and handled her responsibilities—ranging from mail distribution to lunch duties, and participating in a paraprofessional interview—with impressive diligence. We look forward to welcoming our second-place winners to the leadership team later this month.

Dear Families,

Happy February! I want to start off by thanking you for making distance learning days successful.  I've heard so many comments about our students working hard, asking questions, and genuinely happy to see one another even though it was through a screen.  We know these days are hard for parents and we appreciate your willingness to join our educators in making those days productive.

We have a lot of exciting events this month including guest author, Jonathan Sutmiller, 7th grade enrollment, Random Acts of Kindness Week, and our 2nd annual Family Stem Night!
