Happy January CE families!

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday break. Please remember that our Winter Break begins on 12-23-2024 and goes to 1-6-2025. Students return on 1-7-2025(Tuesday).

We had many events in December from winter parties, skating nights, and field trips. Our winter parties went well and I was so happy to see so many parents.

A couple of reminders for all of our families once we get a weather change especially in temperatures. Please remember that we do go outside in colder (and warmer) temps. Our student handbook says we go out above 30 degrees wind chill. We use KOTV channel 6 for our temperature checks.

In relation to colder weather and illness/absences, we want to encourage all students to be at school. Temperatures, throwing up or having other "bathroom" issues would cause students to stay home. Please call our office with absences so we can document the reason the students are out. We do track attendance and want all of our students to be here. Students are allowed by OSDE standards of absenteeism to be absent less than 10% of the school year. It averages out to about 9 absences a semester. Student absences is a huge contributor to their learning and we MISS them when they are gone!
