Central Elementary Families,
The November days of school flew by! We started by recognizing and honoring veterans at our annual Veterans Day Assembly. We had a packed gym of students and CE family veterans. During this assembly, we had the high school JR ROTC, the Bixby High School choir, trumpet players from Bixby High School band, third grade leadership team, as well as all students participate through readings, songs, and applause. Throughout the month we continued with field trips, visits from Master Gardner Program, mystery readers in many classes, disguised turkeys throughout our hallways, and even a PreK parade through the hallways.
As the month of December approaches, there are many things to note. Third grade leadership continues to collect food for weekend snack bags for those in need. We have dress up days, class parties and more field trips coming up. You will find these dates along with flyers of information below. Don't forget to also go like our Central Elementary Facebook page where we update daily with lost and found items, CE celebrations and upcoming event reminders.
Our CE PTO continues to support our staff through upcoming PTO grants that have just opened. They are also sponsoring a CE Winter Wonderland Skating for a night of ice skating with other CE families in downtown Bixby. Along with this, we have the Spartan Gala coming up in March. This event raises money for Bixby Public Schools to go back into all Bixby campuses. If you would like to help with this event, please reach out and we will connect you. YMCA is also offering a special discount for parents for their summer camps. Please see the flyer below that provides more information along.
Last, Spartans Serving Spartans is once again back serving 450 kids and 220 families in Bixby. Please visit bixbyps.info/sss for sign-ups, donation options, and details if you wish to help this holiday season.
Thankful for our CE families,
CE Admin Team
